Show off your talent! It can be any category: dance, acting, jokes, magic, instruments, poetry, etc.

Auditions are Wednesday, May 1, or Thursday, May 2, in Hallway 300 at Churchill.

CAMP OUT WITH A GOOD BOOK – Save the Date and Volunteers Needed!

Please help us as we kick off our first CAMP OUT WITH A GOOD BOOK event to promote reading at Churchill School!  This free, exciting event is being planned by the Churchill Staff and Sponsored by the PTA.

Free activities include campfire singing, games, fishing, free hot dogs/popcorn for Churchill students, campfire stories, free bug catchers and flashlights for nature hikes, shadow puppets, GEPL, GEPD, book walk activity, and live music to listen while you read! Save the Date for Friday, May 17th,  5:30PM-7:30PM, at Churchill School!

We need volunteers to drop off S’mores supplies by Thurs. 4/25 and day-of volunteers on May 17th to bring other supplies and work specific stations!  Sign up here to make this event a success!

Don’t miss out on this adventure as we kick off summer reading and fun! See you at the campsite families!

CAMP OUT WITH A GOOD BOOK (De Campamento con un Buen Libro)- reserve la fecha, y se buscan voluntarios

Por favor, ayúdenos con nuestro primer CAMP OUT WITH A GOOD BOOK para promover la lectura en la escuela Churchill. Este emocionante y gratuito evento fue planeado por el personal de Churchill y patrocinado por la PTA.

Las actividades gratuitas incluyen canciones en la fogata, juegos, pesca, hot dogs y palomitas de maíz gratis para los estudiantes de Churchill, historias sobre la fogata, detectores de insectos y linternas gratuitos para caminatas por la naturaleza, títeres de sombras, GEPL, GEPD, actividad de caminata con libros y música en vivo para escuchar mientras lees. ¡Reserve la fecha para el viernes 17 de mayo, de 5:30 p. m. a 7:30 p. m., en la escuela Churchill!

Necesitamos voluntarios que puedan traer los suministros para los S’mores (postre de galletita, malvaviscos y chocolate) antes del jueves 25 de abril y voluntarios para el día del evento, el 17 de mayo, para traer otros suministros y para encargarse de estaciones específicas. ¡Regístrese aquí para que este evento sea un éxito!

Teacher Appreciation Week

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6th – May 10th and we have some great events planned for our Churchill teachers! The PTA needs your help making that week a success. 2024-2025 PTA Executive Committee Slate

We’re happy to announce the PTA Executive Committee slate for next school year!

• President: Caryn Neumann
• President-Elect: Kaci Snyder
• Co-VPs of Programming: Aline Cox & Stephanie LaCamera
• VP of Ways & Means: Anne Young
• Co-VPs of Communication: Carrie Mariot & Jackie MacMillan
• VP of Language & Cultural Diversity: Emnie Staley
• Treasurer: Michelle Trush
• Secretary: Beth Tiltges

We will vote on this slate at our May 8 meeting. Our bylaws allow additional candidates to run from the floor during the election meeting.

There are still opportunities to get involved with the PTA for next year that can fit any level of time commitment and skill set. In particular, we’re looking for:

• Someone to help out with social media posts or other Communications efforts! This is a low time commitment to join our Communications team and help out with getting PTA info out there.
• After School Enrichment Coordinator: this is a low time commitment role that connects established organizations like Young Rembrandts with Churchill and helps with some behind-the scenes logistics to get their sessions going periodically.
• Webstore Coordinator Apprentice: Are you detailed and organized and would like to help behind-the-scenes with our webstore? Come learn the ropes from a seasoned volunteer next year!
• Many other opportunities to get involved!
